Two accidents occurred in less than an hour in the centre of Thessaloniki, with the second of the two being more serious, as there were injuries to those involved.

Collision between a police car and a taxi and a three-car pile-up in Thessaloniki.

Specifically, around 14:00, at the junction of Egnatia and Antigonidon streets, a police car collided with a taxi, with eyewitnesses reporting that the accident occurred when the taxi driver tried to turn into the eastbound stream.

Only property damage to the two vehicles was recorded from the collision, while a traffic officer was at the scene to smoothen the traffic jam caused after the accident, as it coincided with the time the market closes.

Shortly before 15:00, moreover, at the junction of National Defence and Tsimiski streets there was a car crash between three two-wheelers, under unknown -so far- circumstances. In this traffic accident two people were injured, who were evacuated for first aid to the hospital “Papageorgiou” by ambulance.

As grtimes.gr reports, their condition is not a cause for concern.
